Echoing the above comments, cost is a barrier to many patients. Helping with filling out any forms (ie: exception status form, insurance forms) can be helpful, as well as linking in social work in case other funding/resources are available. I also find pts are sometimes nervous about safety/side effects of medications, so education is important.
