      81 dollars of a special allowance diet for people with DM – with current food prices still not enough to ensure eating fresh fruits and vegetables.

      I concur with previous writer. Therefore, I’ve encountered many times Clients resorting to fast food chains, especially those with “value meal” options. I once cared for a Client who chose this option and had to intervene ASAP due to other multiple factors.
