How to Achieve and Maintain Diabetes Remission. Primary care practical tips and strategies is one of six programs offered in the 2023 Diabetes Simplified Series. The Diabetes Simplified series aims to provide practical approaches to diabetes care that practitioners can immediately implement in their practices, based on the Diabetes Canada Clinical Practice Guidelines.
This eLearning reviews the 2022, new, unique chapter topic of diabetes remission. The eLearning reviews what diabetes remission is, who should be considered and strategies to implementation.
This program has been certified by the College of Family Practice of Canada for up to 2 MainPro+ credits.
Learning Objectives
- Review the guideline recommendations for management of type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease (CKD)
- Initiate guideline recommended therapy in people with type 2 diabetes and CKD
- Discuss the different approaches to improve renal outcomes in people with type 2 diabetes and CKD
